Wylie Aronow, co-founder of Bored Ape Yacht Club, addressed rumors that he could potentially return to a leadership role at Yuga Labs and shared his confidence in the current leadership team.

Aronow detailed his health journey, emphasizing the seriousness of his condition, which included medical emergencies. Despite steady progress, the Bored Ape Yacht Club co-founder said his health remains his top priority and he cannot even resume part-time work.

Aronow previously experienced heart failure and colitis, which forced him to step down from his position. Yuga Labs appointed Daniel Alegre as CEO in December last year. Alegre faced serious problems shortly after joining the company. The NFT provider lost $63 million this year due to Blur’s royalty-free model.

In his tweet, Aronow looked back on Yuga Labs’ trajectory during his absence, citing positive developments and concerns. At his last board meeting, he addressed key issues that he believed were holding back the company’s progress. He suggests that this intervention has rekindled trust in the leadership and all Yuga brands.
