OSgrid recently recovered from a month-long outage and is preparing to celebrate its 19th birthday.
The party will run from July 20th to July 26th at the Event Plaza area of OSgrid, the Hypergrid address. hg.osgrid.org:80:Event Plaza.
OSgrid is the oldest public OpenSim grid, a testing ground for OpenSim development, and a grid that allows anyone to connect regions for free. As a result, these are the fundamental pillars of the open metaverse, and I consider LBSA Plaza the crossroads of the hypergrid.
This year’s celebration is all about science fiction and the future.
“This birthday is a celebration of all the volunteers, builders, scripters and residents who have shaped our universe,” Grid announced. “This is a celebration of your creativity, resilience and passion for an open, free and forward-thinking metaverse.”
Residents can promote their area or creative projects by requesting exhibition plans and showing off their talents and architecture.
To obtain a plot, contact an OSgrid administrator in the world or via the grid’s Discord channel. Plots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis across the grid’s dedicated OSG19B area.
