Backpack launches 24/7 trading of real U.S. stocks for global investors, offering full ownership, instant payments, and access to tokenized assets powered by Solana.

Backpack, a global financial platform connecting cryptocurrency and traditional capital markets, announced the launch of 24/7 trading on select U.S. stocks for international investors. This move allows users around the world to buy, hold and sell physical U.S. securities at any time of the day, any day of the week. This is a structural departure from the session-driven model that has long defined the stock market.
This announcement follows Backpack’s launch of its first real tokenized shares in early June 2025 and represents the next step for the platform as it positions itself as a unified gateway connecting on-chain and off-chain liquidity.
Ownership, settlement and on-chain integration
The key difference with Backpack’s products is that investors retain full legal ownership of the underlying U.S. stocks rather than synthetic proxies or derivatives exposure. The platform combines the infrastructure of modern markets with the protection of real asset ownership, providing instant payments, continuous price discovery, and funding flexibility via fiat or stablecoins.
In addition to direct stake access, Backpack supports tokenized versions of these assets on the Solana blockchain, enabling 24/7 on-chain transactions, wallet-to-wallet transfers, and compatibility with decentralized finance protocols. The platform allows users to move 1:1 between traditional securities and their tokenized equivalents.
The commercial case for this infrastructure has already taken shape. Last month, Backpack’s tokenized SpaceX asset ($SPCX) surpassed its competition by becoming the most liquid and highest volume tokenized SpaceX product traded on-chain. These results reflect continued investor preference for direct, redeemable exposure to one of the most high-profile pre-IPO companies in recent times.
