At NearCon 2026, NEAR unveiled Near.com, a new cryptocurrency wallet and app designed to simplify cryptocurrency interactions.
Announced by co-founder Illia Polosukhin, the product aims to allow users to manage their Bitcoin, stablecoins, NFTs, and other assets in one streamlined interface by removing the friction associated with gas fees, private keys, and multi-chain complexities.
Polosukhin framed the launch as part of the “age of agents,” in which AI systems act as economic participants capable of transacting autonomously.

Near.com was built to function as a user-friendly Web3 wallet across the web, as well as a financial backend for AI agents.
The new secret mode addresses the issue of crypto transparency by enabling private balances and transactions using NEAR’s security framework.
In addition to the new Near.com wallet, NEAR is also introducing IronClaw, an open source alternative to OpenClaw that runs within an encrypted enclave in the NEAR AI Cloud, allowing agents to securely access systems while protecting their credentials.
The network also announced the Confidential GPU Marketplace, powered by NEAR DCML. Provides TEE secure computing for enterprise AI workloads, ensuring that jobs run in an encrypted environment where even GPU operators cannot access sensitive data.
These releases provide an overview of NEAR’s strategy for 2026 and beyond. Networks are now combining privacy with a user-friendly encryption infrastructure and leveraging AI to attract both consumer and enterprise AI builders.
The new privacy features remind investors of the surge of Zcash in 2025 and the launch of Cardano’s Midnight privacy sidechain, demonstrating the importance of the privacy narrative to institutional cryptocurrency adoption.
