A new token, Lunacia, is here: bAXS is here! Bonded AXS is now available across the Axie ecosystem. You can also use it to breed, ascend, evolve, forge, cast, and cast runes and talismans. If you can do it with AXS, you can do it with bAXS. The current situation is as follows:
bAXS token (Bonded AXS) is a variant of the AXS token. 1bAXS = 1AXS. However, you can only use bAXS on items within Axie. This means no transactions or transfers. This keeps more economic activity within the borders of digital countries.

App.Axie consumes bAXS. before Basically it’s AXS. For example, let’s say you want to promote an axie for 10 bAXS/AXS. If you have more than 10 bAXS in your wallet, you will pay 10 bAXS. If you only have 1 bAXS, you will pay 10 AXS. However, if there are 5 bAXS and 5 AXS, the transaction cannot be completed! In this case, it is recommended to convert AXS to bAXS.
Note: You cannot purchase axies with bAXS yet. We are planning to release this feature soon. If you wish to purchase an asset on the current marketplace, you will need to convert bAXS to AXS using App.Axie’s exchange rate before completing your purchase.
The bAXS exchange rate rewards dedication and encourages contribution to the digital nation. This is based on your Axie score. The higher the score, the better the exchange rate when converting bAXS to AXS. Here’s how Axie Score works:
pos2.ron tries to convert 100 bAXS to AXS. He is a myth keeper. If you exchange 100 bAXS, you will receive 82.5 AXS in return. The 17.5 AXS difference will be passed on to Axie Treasury. This encourages pos2.ron to: use Than trading bAXS. It also strengthens the multi-million dollar AXS Axie Treasury.
You can earn AXS by staking bAXS, and rewards are calculated 1:1 with AXS. It also has full governance weight. This means that staked bAXS provides the same voting power as staked AXS in a 1:1 ratio.

For reference, wallets that stake at least 10 AXS can receive the 100,000 bAXS airdrop pool. Allocations were made based on Axie score and amount of AXS staked using a snapshot taken on February 5th. More details about the second bAXS airdrop will be shared later.
Pro Tip: To receive more bAXS from Airdrop 2, keep increasing your Axie score and stake the AXS or bAXS you received from Airdrop 1. Staked AXS/bAXS directly increases the total staking weight for the next snapshot.
