Web3 fantasy shooter Kokodi Arena has officially launched Season 1 on the HyperPlay platform and is now available to NFT holders.
Kokodi Arena combines elements of the battle royale and extraction shooter genres, offering a mix of strategy, teamwork, and dangerous combat.
This new season features a Play-to-Airdrop feature that allows players to accumulate Play Points (PP) through gameplay to earn rewards such as $KOKO tokens, NFTs, and other in-game items.
Play-Airdrop Mechanism and Rewards
Season 1 introduces Play Points as an in-game currency for earning rewards in Kokodi Arena.
Players can earn Play Points through Quick Match, the game’s primary mode for competitive play. Points are awarded for kills, captures and wins, with each kill or capture earning 100PP. If you win a match, the points earned during that session are doubled.
At the end of the season, players can convert their accumulated Play Points into $KOKO tokens. Scheduled for full launch in early 2025, these tokens will fuel the gaming economy and provide discounts on in-game purchases. Additional prizes for top players include rare NFT skins and invitation codes, although specific details about these codes have not yet been revealed.
How do I participate in Season 1?
To participate in Kokodi Arena Season 1, you must own a specific NFT (KOKODI, Mask, or Lootbox). These NFTs can be purchased on platforms like OpenSea and Sphere. The cheapest option, a loot box, currently costs around $7.50.
To participate, players must download Kokodi Arena via the HyperPlay launcher. Quick Match gameplay, which awards Play Points, is available daily from 18:00 to 20:00 UTC. Although a season end date has not yet been announced, this structured period of play will ensure a consistent and active player base throughout Season 1.
Kokodi Arena is currently an NFT-based game, but is expected to be free-to-play with plans to launch on the Epic Games Store in the future.
