Chainwire, Zug, Switzerland, December 5, 2024

Holyheld, a leading Swiss cryptocurrency payments startup, today announced that it has secured funding to accelerate its BRRR protocol through investments from Toyota Ventures, TempleDAO, Tomahawk VC, Prismatic Capital, Zee Prime Capital, Polygon, Kosmos Ventures, Moonlanding Ventures, and others. I did it. Angel investor in major projects including Lido, Olympus, Dinero, Paragon, Superfluid, vfat, Inverse Finance, Daedalus, DCV, Generative Ventures, and Vamient. In an effort to fill the critical infrastructure needed for users to instantly transact globally with merchants, Holyheld’s BRRR protocol aims to create a global layer of real-time payments by connecting public blockchain networks, traditional payments and card networks. .

“This opportunity strengthens our leadership in the market and accelerates our efforts to redefine real-time payment processing,” said Anton Mozgovoy, CEO of Holyheld. “With our global stablecoin reconciliation technology, we are well-positioned to transform the way users and enterprises do business today with the payments of the future.”

BRRR’s protocol is used to power apps from Holyheld, the European market leader in Web3 payment apps. The app offers residents of 30 European countries a cash account with a debit card. Users of the Holyheld app can connect their self-custodial wallet and use their cryptocurrency for daily purchases. This enables traditional consumer actions such as swiping or tapping a credit card or mobile device to make a payment, while allowing users to manage their own money.

“This funding is an essential step as we work toward our vision of empowering cryptocurrency customers and fintechs to build new payment settlement and reconciliation solutions using cryptocurrencies.” added Dr. Anton Zagorodnikov, co-founder and CTO of Holyheld.

The new funding will enable Holyheld to continue expanding its protocol to more customers and payment networks globally. Holyheld integrates over 100 leading crypto protocols across 15 blockchain networks. The company’s BRRR has orchestrated over $100 million in trading volume since its launch in April 2023.

“Holyheld transforms every self-managed wallet into a personal IBAN and debit card, giving users a seamless digital wallet experience,” said Chris Abshire, principal at Toyota Ventures. “We are excited to partner with the Holyheld team as they build the industry’s best on-chain clearinghouse.”
