OSCC 2024 submission deadline is approaching – Hypergrid Business

Time is running out for virtual world enthusiasts and creators looking to share their innovations at this year’s OpenSimulator Community Conference. Potential presenters must submit proposals for the 12th Annual Meeting of the OpenSim Community by October 29, 2024.

“We look forward to our 12th year celebrating the current and future uses of open source virtual worlds through creativity, technology, artistry and education,” said conference co-chair Cynthia Calongne (aka “Lyr Lobo”) . -world.

The two-day event on December 7th and 8th will feature presentations on creative, educational, technical and experiential topics related to OpenSimulator and the open metaverse.

Organizers are particularly interested in presentations that demonstrate innovative content, significant achievements of the OpenSim ecosystem, future visions for open source virtual worlds, and creative applications of OpenSimulator technology.

Each speaker session is 20 minutes long. The conference will also feature community-sponsored tours, expos, content giveaways, hypergrid exploration, and more.

Proposal approval emails will be sent on October 31st. Approved speakers must register for the conference by November 7 to secure participation in the program.

The conference opens with a music and art event on December 6, followed by the main program on December 7 and 8.
