Vitalik Buterin proposes two new developments

Today, Ethereum’s key co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed two major changes in a new article.

In the article, Vitalik discusses improvements to Ethereum’s proof-of-stake (PoS) system, proposing two major updates. First, he aims to ensure that block confirmation occurs in a single slot. This means your transactions will be completed faster. Second, he wants to make staking more accessible by lowering the staking requirement to 1ETH. To achieve this, he proposed three solutions: improving the signature counting method, introducing a new group of validators called the Orbit Committee, and implementing a two-tier staking system.

That said, Vitalik’s proposal focuses on speeding up transaction confirmations and allowing people to participate in staking with just 1 ETH.

Vitalik offloads large quantities of meme coins for Ethereum.

On October 13, 2024, Vitalik sold a large number of memecoins and received 257.1 ETH ($636K). On the same day, he sold another eight meme tokens, raising 651.4 ETH ($1.61 million).

According to reports, Vitalik sold these meme tokens for donation purposes only.

This year, Vitalik received a ton of criticism from ETH investors. They accused him of selling large amounts of ETH coins. Vitalik later revealed that he had not sold a single penny from his personal ETH holdings.
