The private meeting held at Korea Blockchain Week 2024 was titled “Exploring Investments in Web3: Technology, Narrative or FOMO?” and took place in Seoul earlier this week. The event attracted over 800 registrants and brought together 100 representatives from various regional and prominent industry organizations, projects, companies, communities and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Co-hosted by DFG, Jsquare, Ticker Capital and Starbase, the meeting provided attendees with an opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on the key factors driving the Web3 market, emerging industry trends and technological innovations.

Jsquare, on the other hand, has invested in over 70 projects across 25 countries, focusing on Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions, Centralized Finance (CeFi), AI, and infrastructure. Notable investments include Render Network, Gensyn, and Pudgy Penguins.

In addition to providing financial support, DFG and Jsquare offer a broad collaboration model to support growth and development throughout the entire life cycle of portfolio projects.

The discussion was also joined by Ticker Capital and Starbase, who shared insights and insights into their companies’ operations.

Ticker Capital, represented by founder Q, is an acceleration and marketing firm focused on supporting gaming, AI, and DePIN projects within the Web3 ecosystem. Starbase founder Vivian elaborated on the company’s core activities, including project investment, incubation, and acceleration. Starbase operates as a Web3 accelerator with a focus on the GameFi and AI sectors. Since 2018, it has invested in over 100 projects across a variety of high-growth sectors. Starbase also provides grants to early-stage projects through its “EverGrow Grant,” currently in Phase 2.
