August 3rd will mark the Elite 8 Showdown with a 3,000 AXS prize pool up for grabs. Only one winner will take home the Season 9 crown. Last season, Japan’s Nagipex narrowly defeated Zaratustra in a nail-biting duel. To qualify for this elite competition, secure a Top 8 finish in Final Era. We’ll have more details as we get closer to Elite 8, so stay tuned.
Collectible Axie owners will soon be able to claim the Season 9 Mystic Era Collectible Cache, which will arrive via Origins in-game mail.
Starting with Offseason 9 on July 31, Origins will disable casting of Runes and Amulet crafted more than 3 seasons ago. These older Runes and Amulet will remain in your in-game collection, but will not be able to be cast on the Marketplace. They can be deposited into Origins from the Marketplace, but they will not be able to be cast again. For example, in Season 9, you will be able to cast Runes and Amulet from Seasons 7, 8, and 9. Runes and Amulet crafted from Season Alpha through Season 6 will no longer be able to be cast. If you wish to cast older Runes and Amulet for collection purposes, you must do so before July 31.
