Pixels Launches Doggos NFT on Mavis Market, Announces Upcoming Pixels Pet Mint

The social casual Web3 game based on Ronin Network Pixels (PIXEL) has released a new Pixels pet series, Doggos. Pets, represented by non-fungible tokens (NFTs), serve as faithful companions of farmers in the game. It is now accessible on Mavis Market, an NFT marketplace powered by the Ronin Network.

“One of the key focuses of our two-year journey of co-creation with the community has been to bring more utility to the Pixels ecosystem, and pets are one way we are delivering on that promise. Like Tamagotchis, players must care for their Pixels Pet every day to unlock key benefits and add more rewards to their in-game experience,” said Luke Barwikowski, Pixels founder. Pixels Pets offers utilities that provide expanded interaction radius, additional storage space, and more. Specific benefits depend on your pet’s individual stats, including strength, speed, and luck.

To date, Pixels has only released a single collection of 250 Genesis Pets, making them some of the rarest animals within the pet ecosystem. The upcoming Pixels Pet Mint event will be held on Wednesday, February 28th between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM (UTC).

During the Mint period, 3,000 Doggos can be minted exclusively in the back room of the Post Office in Terra Villa. Each capsule, priced at 500 PIXEL, requires possession of the ‘Key to Success’, accessible only to the most dedicated players, to enter the designated room. Additionally, potions are used to determine your pet’s stats.

“We designed this second mint to reward our most loyal and dedicated community members who have invested so much time into the development of Pixels. If you’ve leveled up to get the keys to success, now is your long-awaited opportunity. It’s your chance to create your own pet and show it off,” said Heidi Christine, CMO of Pixels.

PIXEL is listed on Binance, driving a surge in in-game economy.

PIXEL, the native token of Pixel, was recently listed on the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Since listing, over 1.4 million PIXEL has been spent in the in-game economy on VIP purchases and coin sales. Additionally, the Community Treasury has accumulated a total of 1.12 million PIXEL.

Pixels is a play-to-earn (P2E) farming game that allows users to build land incrementally, pixel by pixel. Powered by the Ronin network, the game has over 180,000 daily active users. Earlier this month, Pixel was introduced as the 46th project on Binance Launchpool. Since launch, the game has raised $4.8 million in funding from investors such as Framework Ventures, Collab+Currency, Volt Capital, Yield Guild Games, Sky Mavis, and more.

The introduction of new NFTs in Pixels games highlights the platform’s commitment to enhancing user engagement, reflecting the team’s commitment to development amidst the evolving dynamics of blockchain gaming.
