Parallel is a strategic trading card game where players compete to reduce their opponent’s life points from 30 to 0.
The game is played with a deck of 40 cards and players start with a hand of 5 cards. However, the picture allows you to have up to 8 cards in your hand at any time. Before a parallel match begins, players can take a “mulligan”. This means you can shuffle as many cards from your hand into your deck and draw as many cards as you want.
Parallel’s open beta offers a variety of game modes designed to suit the needs of players at different stages of the game.
Aimed at new players, this mode begins after completing the tutorial. Players start with one of three Paragons, leader units with passive deck effects, unlocked for each of the five parallel factions: Augencore, Earthen, Kathari, Marcolian, and The Shroud.
The goal here is to achieve victory in each Parallel and unlock rewards along the way. Rewards for the first five wins in each parallel include a new Paragon, Common and Legendary Ghost (non-NFT) card packs, and a Ghost Starter Deck. Successfully winning 25 matches across all Parallels will reward you with an additional Apparition Pack that can be used to replenish your base (NFT) cards.
Once you unlock your first Rookie Deck, the following modes become available: AI mode is ideal for testing different cards and combinations without affecting your ranking or win/loss ratio. Unranked mode provides a similar non-competitive environment where players are free to experiment with their decks.
For those ready to compete and earn rankings, Ranked Mode lets you play 10 placement matches to determine your starting ranking. During this trial phase and beyond, players can earn $PRIME, the in-game currency at the heart of Parallel, based on their wins.
Please note that the $PRIME amount earned from ranked wins may increase the higher you rank and is affected by factors such as number of NFT cards in your winning deck, win streak, and number of holdings. parallel avatarAnd more.

In parallel, a player’s turn consists of two main steps:

📇 Draw stage — In this initial sequence, players draw a card from their deck.

⏩ Turn Phase — During this period, players can play cards from their hand, attack with units, and use abilities. Players can take on as many tasks as they want and can afford depending on their available energy..
When it comes to playing cards, there are four basic card types you need to know in parallel.

As you learn the basics of cards and turndowns, it’s important to understand the key gameplay concepts you’ll encounter in combat. These concepts include:

Taken together, these main mechanisms lead to several basic strategies.
For example, building a balanced deck is key. To be competitive, your deck should have a mix of units, artifacts, effects, and upgrade cards that can handle a variety of situations. Energy management is also important. Pay very close attention to your energy levels, and plan your moves and cards around your available energy.
Additionally, good placement of your bank cards and devices is critical to your success. The banking mechanism prepares you for future turns, ensuring you have the right cards when you need them, and allows you to strategically place your units and decide when to attack or defend based on your opponent’s field, which can make or break a battle.
As you begin to gain experience with parallel gameplay, you’ll find that your game sense will develop further and your ability to predict your opponent’s moves and make the most of powerful card combos will improve. Find your stride.
