Gala’s Head of Influencer Marketing and KOLs were in the spotlight last week representing our decentralized world at the 2024 International GameDev Summit!

He returned from a very urgent mission to the Philippines to detail the insights and insights he gained while immersing himself in incredible innovation at GameDev Summit 2024, an industry-exclusive main event for the Asia Pacific gaming world.
As Gala’s Head of Influencer Marketing and KOL, I recently had the privilege of attending the GameDev Summit 2024 in Boracay Island. Organized with the support of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, this groundbreaking event proved to be a pivotal moment for Gala and the global gaming industry as a whole.
GameDev Summit is a professional-only B2B event that serves as a platform to strengthen the Asia Pacific industry’s presence and partnerships within the global video game development community. This year’s summit partnered with the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) to present the External Development Summit (XDS) Main Stage, which boasted prominent speakers and panelists.
One of the main highlights of the summit was the recognition of two aspects of the industry: external development and indie game development. This approach is reflected in the two tracks offered, addressing the unique needs and solutions for each space. The summit provided a comprehensive view of the possibilities available to studios, experts and advocates in the dynamic world of game development.
During my five-day stay at the summit, I had the opportunity to interact with various Web 2 studios and companies involved in the gaming industry. The main objective of this summit was to showcase the Philippines’ significant user base and wealth of talented game developers. This effectively highlighted the potential for high-end game development to be outsourced domestically, from small game studios to multinational corporations around the world.
At the summit, I had the honor of representing Gala and promoting the adoption of GalaChain within the gaming industry. I have worked with numerous international game studios to introduce them to the funding opportunities available within the Gala ecosystem. These efforts have built 40-50 valuable contacts and significantly increased awareness of Gala and its various products, including entertainment, gaming, movies, music, and GalaChain.
Additionally, I had the privilege of receiving mentorship from Jeff Espejo, Gala’s Vice President of Blockchain. His wealth of experience and guidance has given me invaluable insight into the complexities of the cryptocurrency business world. Being around such an experienced person has been instrumental in my professional growth and understanding of the blockchain industry.
Throughout the summit, I actively documented my experiences and interactions to create engaging content that shared Gala’s mission and vision. The overwhelmingly positive response further solidified my commitment to continue attending similar events around the world, building valuable relationships and expanding Gala’s presence globally.
My experience at GameDev Summit 2024 was not only instrumental but instrumental in advancing Gala’s position within the gaming industry. I look forward to leveraging the momentum gained from the summit to further expand Gala’s reach and influence in the dynamic world of gaming and entertainment.
