Oasis Network Unveils 2024 Roadmap, Focuses on Deep Integration with Ethereum Ecosystem

Oasis Network unveils 2024 roadmap, plans deep integration with Ethereum ecosystem

Oasis Network, a private computing network, has released its 2024 roadmap, outlining plans for deeper integration with the Ethereum ecosystem and improving both developer and user experience. The network also aims to improve runtime and storage performance while strengthening security and resiliency.

As a key component of its 2024 roadmap, Oasis Network plans to build stronger integration with the Ethereum ecosystem. The first quarters of the year, Q1 and Q2, have specific initiatives that include Foundry support, Oasis TypeScript client improvements, and other developments. Later this year, Oasis Network aims to introduce Metamask Snap, integrate Ethers-rs support, and introduce the Remix plugin for crypto transactions on Sapphire.

To improve Ethereum compatibility with Oasis Sapphire, engineers have improved aspects such as msg.sender semantics, facilitated support for multiple outstanding transactions in a transaction pool, introduced tracing support for local debugging, and other related improvements. I will focus.

Later this year, Oasis Network engineers plan to investigate the effectiveness of Ethereum’s consensus layer state transitions through proof-of-execution. This verification process aims to strengthen the security of the Oasis network, resulting in the ability to deliver messages to Ethereum in a trustless and more efficient manner.

Oasis Network Strategic Development

The Oasis network engineering team will focus on improving the low-level aspects of the network by investigating support for other Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technologies, including Intel TDX, NVIDIA TEE, and Amazon Nitro Enclaves. Advances in TEE have proven valuable for runtimes that require the execution of more complex logic, both on and off-chain.

The blockchain engineering team also plans to focus on runtime improvements, with a focus on performance enhancements to optimize the Merkle trie storage database and runtime storage protocols that can improve overall network efficiency.

Founded in 2018, Oasis Protocol is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that prioritizes privacy, scalability, and versatile blockchain infrastructure. It facilitates the creation of privacy-focused decentralized applications (dApps) by providing tools for confidential computation.

Recently, Oasis Network signed a partnership with Korean game publisher Com2uS to strengthen the company’s Web3 gaming infrastructure as part of its strategy to enter the Japanese market. As a gaming-focused blockchain, it has previously collaborated with renowned companies such as SoftBank, Sega, and Ubisoft.

Oasis Network pursues an ambitious roadmap this year, positioning itself at the forefront of the evolving blockchain landscape through strategic advancements and initiatives.
