The Gala Games platform will facilitate sales of its first Rep Node licenses starting today, August 31st. This round will determine the owners of the first 5000 Rep nodes, which will soon play a key role in the prototype phase of the Rep platform.

The license is a non-refundable, non-transferable item that unlocks the ability to run Rep workloads over the GalaChain node infrastructure once they are released.
If you want to run Node with limited computer skills, this is not a problem at all. The GalaChain node infrastructure makes it really easy to run workloads using the background computing power of your home computer. No expertise required.
All Node licenses are currently non-transferable. With the recent approval of the Founder’s Node proposal to allow a tokenization route for node licenses, it is possible that in the future Rep Node operators will have the option to tokenize their nodes into transferable NFTs.
Licenses will be issued shortly after purchase, but Rep Node workloads have not yet been implemented on the GalaChain Node infrastructure and rewards are not yet available.
Founder’s Node operators and Gala Gold members can now access this 20% off early whitelist sale. On September 4th at 12PM PT the price will revert to $2500 for everyone.

*Each node must run on its own physical machine. Virtual private server solutions can also be utilized when a single operator operates a larger number of nodes.
As Reps grow in the coming months and years, the need for node operators will continue to grow. While 5000 licenses may seem like a big number for an initial sale to some, we expect huge amounts of data to be hosted on Rep with a robust network of nodes at its core.
The first 5,000 nodes are just the beginning; more licenses will be sold accordingly in future supply tiers to keep pace with this growth.

Like most everything built on top of GalaChain, nodes and their operators serve as the core of the Rep ecosystem. Because the Rep uses a dedicated network of its own nodes, the Rep’s node operator provides all the necessary computing resources.
The social media platforms that make Rep’s vision a reality will host unimaginably large amounts of data. This data is actually possible thanks to the distributed performance of the node network, which grows and scales with the number of Rep users and data size.
Rep is an already developed platform that requires a stable and sustainable blockchain solution. The GalaChain infrastructure that our team has worked hard to build allows us to create a network of independent nodes where nodes can host workloads for independent and partner projects.
