happy new year! 2023 is the year of the dragon. This is a time when Bitcoin’s persistence is needed.

Happy New Year from CoinGeek! May your Year of the Dragon be your best yet, with new opportunities, good health, and lifelong memories.

Dragon is the fifth sign of the Chinese zodiac. According to ancient tales, in a race to become the guardian deity of the Jade Emperor, one of the most revered deities in Chinese culture, he came out on top after the rat, ox, tiger, and rabbit. Dragons were the only mythical creatures that could compete. It could have easily won by flying away, but legend has it that it stopped along the way to help some villagers and one of its rivals.

Dragons hold a special place in Chinese culture. They are seen as beings of strength and power as well as mercy and kindness. Chinese President Xi Jinping once described the Chinese people as ‘descendants of the dragon’ to former US President Donald Trump.

People born in the Year of the Dragon are considered confident, ambitious, charismatic, persistent, and possess an abundance of intelligence and strength.

The Year of the Dragon is the time when the strength and tenacity of the Bitcoin community are most tested.

Bitcoin’s staying power will be tested this year as enterprise customers integrate the technology to serve millions of customers. While most blockchains can serve small communities of speculators and provide proofs of concept for thousands of users, only infinitely scalable networks can serve corporations and governments.

This year, blockchain networks will be tested for scale, stability, security, and the ability to maintain low fees as usage surges. Only networks with dragon persistence will succeed.

As we enter the Year of the Dragon, let us radiate the strength, confidence, intelligence and tenacity to take Bitcoin to new heights.
