We wanted to provide an important update regarding recent legal developments involving our company’s founders, Blockchain Game Partners, Inc., also known as Gala Games, Gala Music, and Gala Film.
On August 31, 2023, Gala Games co-founder and CEO Eric Schiermeyer filed a derivative shareholder lawsuit against Gala Games co-founder Wright Thurston and True North United Investments, LLC. Wright Thurston then filed a lawsuit against Eric Schiermeyer. A derivative shareholder lawsuit is a legal action brought by a shareholder on behalf of a company to resolve perceived wrongs against the company. While these lawsuits will undoubtedly raise questions and concerns within our community, we assure you that the Gala community has an unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability throughout this process.
We must ensure that legal procedures proceed fully in accordance with the principles of justice and due process. We are prohibited by law from making public comments or speculation about ongoing litigation.
We would like to emphasize that these legal proceedings are primarily a dispute between the founders and do not involve the company in any substantive way. We are confident that we are in a good position and that no damage will occur. Gala Games will continue to grow and achieve continued success.
