Sam Altman, who abruptly resigned earlier this month, has returned as CEO of OpenAI. Interim CEO Mira Murati will step down and return to her previous role as CTO. Altman confirmed the new board, chaired by Salesforce CEO Bret Taylor, which includes Larry Summers and Adam D’Angelo. Microsoft will also be a non-voting observer on the Board of Directors. Altman said his priorities as CEO are advancing research, improving products and improving customer service. The Board will strengthen governance and review recent events through independent committees.
