Shenglong Electric unveils metaverse-based smart building system

Chinese electrical company Shenglong Electric showcased its Metaverse-based intelligent building management system at the Expo in Beijing. The system integrates subsystems into a unified IoT interface to automatically adjust the air conditioner temperature depending on the number of visitors. Developed by Shenglong Electric’s R&D team, this solution reduces energy consumption and operating costs while improving visitor experience.

Shenglong Electric’s metaverse-based intelligent building management system covers a vast area of over 60,000 square meters. The system autonomously controls all building equipment to adapt to different weather conditions and visitor dynamics. The system utilizes predictive capabilities to optimize event room temperatures and ensure optimal comfort for visitors.

Shenglong Electric’s system dynamically adjusts the air conditioner temperature according to the number of visitors, reducing energy consumption and operating costs. This approach reduces energy consumption by 15% and reduces operating costs by 70%.

Specific information about the project’s Metaverse integration is limited, but the announcement mentions a building with a ‘Metaverse operations and maintenance’ function. One potential application could include building managers using Metaverse to simulate structural changes or upgrades. This approach allows us to predict the impact of these changes, helping us fine-tune strategies for energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Another application might be the ability to explore a virtual model of a building, utilize a digital control panel, and immediately resolve issues.

Moreover, the expo showcasing Shenglong Electric’s metaverse-based intelligent building management system attracted the attention of international participants. Shaikh Muhammad Shariq, Chief Representative of the National Bank of Pakistan to China, invited Shenglong Electric to contribute to the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.

Looking into the future

By integrating multiple subsystems, the company opens up new possibilities for energy efficiency and visitor experience. This solution could benefit the smart building industry and represent a step towards international collaboration and recognition.

The importance of the metaverse as a conduit for international business and industrial innovation is growing. As more companies explore the possibilities within the metaverse, it becomes clear that this digital frontier offers a unique opportunity to reimagine existing processes and set new benchmarks for smart technologies. This transition to a more interconnected and technologically advanced industrial environment paves the way for further innovation, highlighting the role of the metaverse in driving future developments across a variety of sectors.
